I was quite happy arranging tea on my way out to Pilates in around 1996 ish when Garry came home from work. ‘Look at these’ he said, ‘I’m going to be late’ I said ‘But just look’ he persisted.
It was a pile of business cards with the name Timeless Images on it….’ that’s going to be our business’ I was told. And that was it!
Garry started photographing weddings for friends and friends of friends until the Summer of 2005. I had our second baby and Garry photographed 36 weddings. I pretty much spent my maternity leave designing wedding albums and being the admin assistant. Previous wedding clients were asking if Garry could do baby and family portraits, which we did in our lounge but with a 4-year-old and a new baby in the house, it was not ideal. It was a crazy year, and something had to give. I was due to go back to work full time and did so from Christmas to March 2006.
I don’t remember a conversation about us both giving up our jobs to run Timeless Images but that is what we both had done by November 2006 and opened our studio in York buildings in January 2007.
And that really is how our little company was formed – from Garry’s love of photography and a simple business card to being in the heart of Bridgwater for over 15 years, serving the community that we live in by creating images and memories that we hope will last a lifetime.
But essentially we are doing what we both love… Garry is in the studio and I’m the admin with help from two brilliant team members.
