A Peek Behind the Camera: What Happens at a Newborn Photo Shoot at Timeless Images?

Lights, Camera, Action!

First, when you arrive at Timeless Images for your Newborn Photoshoot, you’ll be welcomed by one of our team.  Garry is our trained photographer who is also friendly and very chilled.  There is not much that will phase him, having photographed over 1000 newborns over the last 6 years!

The Setup

Your photoshoot will take place in our cosy, warm studio. We have the complete studio set up with soft lights, a comfy sofa for you to chill on, backdrops and wraps to suit all colour schemes, fluffy blankets, and some adorable baby outfits. When you arrive you will be asked what you would prefer so you can tone your images to suit your home. 

Baby’s Comfort

Newborns are delicate and cannot control their temperatures, so we want them to feel snug as a bug. Our studio is kept at the perfect temperature to keep your baby warm and happy. We’ll make sure they’re safe and comfy throughout the shoot. If they need to feed before we begin, that is not a problem, we have included additional time for this within each Newborn Photo Shoot. 

Patience Is Key

You might be surprised at how patient and relaxed Garry is during the photoshoot.  Despite being very new each little one has their personality, and we know they will tell Garry off if they are not happy.  He will soon have them soothed and settled once more.  He will work around your baby’s needs, ensuring they’re happy throughout the process.

Now comes the part where the magic happens as Garry gently poses your baby in the various positions. He’ll capture those tiny toes, little fingers, and angelic expressions. There’s no rush, and we take our time to get the perfect shots.

Creating Memories

At Timeless Images, we know how special family moments are. As this will more than likely be your first photo shoot as a new family, Garry will invite you to join in some of the pictures with your newborn. You don’t have to if you don’t want to, but it is lovely to look back on in years to come. 

Wrapping Up

Once everyone is happy that we have a lovely set of images, your photoshoot will be over. We will then invite you to return to our viewing lounge in about a week to view the images and make your choices.   Garry and Abbey will carefully prepare and edit the images ready for your viewing to ensure there is a beautiful collection of images for you.
